Introductory Seminar for Expo 2020
The Department of Finance hosted Ms. Aisha Al Ghafri, Director of Expo 2020 at Ras Al Khaimah, to present an introductory seminar on the achievements made so far in the plan to prepare for the launching . The event which will be held every five years, the UAE will be the first Arab country to host the event in the economic capital Dubai, which will be launched in October 2020. The number of countries that have so far agreed to participate in it (190 countries) from different Continents of the world,
Aisha Al-Ghafri explained that each country is responsible for setting up its own pavilion, and the UAE will undertake the establishment of pavilions for developing countries. these instructions were issued by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.
At the end of the seminar, the Director of Expo 2020 invited the Department of Finance Ras Al Khaimah to visit the Expo site in Dubai to see what has been achieved so far.
