With the presence of H.H. Salim Bin Sultan Al Qassimi
In the presence of H.H. Shaikh Salim Bin Saqr Al Qassimi precident of the civil aviation authority along with leading advisers, managers and senior local departments staff of Ras Al Khaimah government, the Department of Finance Paid a tribute to His Excellency Sami Abdul Rahman Saqr, Director General on his retirement after fifty years of service, since the Amiri decree issued by his Highness Sheikh Saqr bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, God rest his soul, in 01/05/1966, regarding the establishment of «public accounts department», and the appointment of Sami Abdul Rahman Saqr a director, to establish the foundations and rules of the department. Followed by the Amiri decree by Sheikh Saqr in 09/09/2003 , regarding the integration of the Departments of « Financial Audit » and « Public Accounts » in one department named the ( Department of Finance ) , and the appointed Sami Abdul Rahman Saqr as General Manager , to head both departments, up until today in which the department is moving forward into a new phase, shifting from the « monetary system » to « accrual accounting system » approved by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi , Crown Prince of Ras Al Khaimah chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah , the shift was to keep up with modern developments in government financial management.
In the occasion Mr. Sami spoke expressing his gratitude and happiness surrounded by members of his family, who flew in to grace the occasion.
Directing his speech to the staff – who were keen to pay tribute and take pictures with him – he said : (The emirate of Ras Al Khaimah, is one that has been close to us all and fast progressing and strives to be in leading positions , and now, I wish that you all continue the march of success, which I personally participated in in the Past )
