Dubai, 8th June 2015 (Wam) — Emirates Transport and the Department of Finance in Ras Al Khaimah, signed a memorandum of understanding, which extends to two years, to cooperate to provide the best services and achieving excellence and leadership in favor of government institutions in the emirate.
\nThe signing ceremony took place at the headquarters of the Department of Finance in Ras Al Khaimah; and was signed by H.E. Sami Abdul Rahman Saqr, Director General of the Department of Finance, and H.E. Mohammed Abdullah Al Jarman, General Manager of Emirates Transport, in the presence of Yusuf Ali Mohamed, Deputy Director General of the Department, and Omar Rishanei, Assistant of General Manager in financial, accounting and administrative affairs; Abdullah Al-Sabab, Director of the Institutional Excellence Office; Mohammed Owais, Director of the Procurement and Contracts Division, and from Emirates Transport\u2019s side, the ceremony was attended by Obaid Al-Buraiki, Head of RAK School Transport Division; Salman Mohamed, Manager of Al Wataneya Auctions Centre; Abdul Rahman Kadau, Manager of RAK Technical Services Unit, and Abdullah Mohamed, Director of Governmental Communication Dept.
\nAccording to the memorandum the two parties will work together to achieve mutual objectives by fostering strategic trade relations between them, and studying the opportunities of the Department of Finance in benefiting from the Emirates Transport\u2019s services with regard to providing vehicles to transport personnel, or the administrative and technical uses and governmental buildings and establishments management services, in addition to the maintenance services of the vehicle fleet of the department or those of other government institutions in the Emirate.
\nThe memorandum also includes seeking to integrate efforts in spreading the values of social responsibility in the school community through shared awareness programs among students and parents and related initiatives and activities and efforts that contribute in the serving and development of community and the mutual benefit to both parties.
\nSami Saqr welcomed the extension of cooperation ties with Emirates Transport, praising the corporation’s wealth of expertise and capabilities in the transport, leasing and auto technical services and managing over more than three decades to create a successful governmental model in this sector and all that is associated to it of integrated solutions of sophisticated and comprehensive services in all areas of the state.
\nSaqr also stressed that there are ample opportunities for the implementation of the provisions of this memorandum in a practical manner that serves the interests of both parties.
\nFor his part, Mohammed Abdullah Al Jarman expressed his delight at the keen interest of the Department of Finance in Ras Al Khaimah on the construction and development of the relationship between the parties.
\nAl Jarman added that the institution is aiming in the coming period to broaden the base of donors and institutions receiving services in the Emirate at the Federal and local levels, particularly in transport services, vehicle technical maintenance and inspections and vehicle auctions.
