Within the “Prospects for the Accounting and Financial Future” forum in preparation for its fifty-day session, the Finance Department organized a discussion session entitled (the role of an effective leader in activating quality management systems in government institutions) today, Thursday, July 23, 2020, prepared and presented by Professor Dr. Kamal Imam, Professor at the Faculty of Science at Ain Shams University, Director of the International Center for Training and Quality of Services .. He opened the discussion session with the concept of "leadership" represented by creating a positive change in the institution, with "leadership skills" represented in three types: ("intellectual skill" through comprehensive vision, social sense and political sense, "skill Humanity "represented in the ability to adapt with others and effective communication with persuasion," technical skill "in terms of specializing in the subject with knowledge of the details) .. While emphasizing some of the conditions that must be met in order to acquire the characteristics of a good leader: (learn leadership skills, think positively before starting to speak, the situation taking into account the feelings of those who work with him, define goals and be responsible for achieving them, he must see the organization as a whole, and know how other departments work, How can his department support the organization better, make its employees feel important, while defending them and showing support for them, and enjoying the positivity, while preparing to work under pressure) ... while stressing that there is no leadership without participation, nor participation without dialogue, or dialogue without three Axes: (Safety between the parties to dialogue and participation, organization, dialogue and participation, a scientific basis that governs the content of dialogue and participation), That the leader has the power by making others be able to make something that they would have done without his intervention by persuasion or coercion; He cannot lead the team without strength. In order to be a strong and effective leader, real concern must be given to the concerns of his employees, showing his belief in the importance of the work of his employees, and taking responsibility for what happens during his assumption of responsibility.
