Within the "Prospects for the Accounting and Financial Future" forum in preparation for its fifty-day meeting, the Finance Department organized a discussion session entitled (The Art of Shaping Strategic Thrusts and Strategic Plans to coincide with the outlook for the future), prepared and presented by Professor Dr. Hassan Rashad, Professor at Cairo University and Advisor to Strategic Planning at King University Abdul-Aziz in Jeddah; As the working paper included three main axes: (strategic direction, strategic plans, and foreseeing the future) .. As for "strategic economic orientation", it comes through diversification of the economic base based on global variables; and the pre-emptive, defensive and creative "marketing economic orientation" comes through enhancing competitiveness with the resulting impact on the dimensions of the marketing performance "profitability, market share, customer satisfaction". With regard to the direction concerned with the promotion of investment, it comes through studying the current situation, creating the appropriate climate, following up on issues and challenges, drawing up a development strategy, and finding the necessary financial requirements; Thus with the strategy to strengthen planning for financial services. As for (strategic planning), its benefits are: (clarifies the future, identifying the best options, the best utilization of resources, the enhancement of teamwork, the improvement of performance, the improvement of decision-making, the expansion of informatics and research, the coordination of activities) .. The stages of preparing the strategic plan are (building a long-term strategic vision, the desired future, developing strategies, preparing the implementation plan, then following up and evaluating and developing and improving), using SWOT analysis, where (strengths, threats, weaknesses, opportunities Available). Then comes the talk of (looking ahead), which is a collection of future studies and research that reveals potential problems in the future; Therefore, the "stages" of looking ahead are (identifying the problem, making assumptions, the virtual receiver).
